Location : Rancho Cucamonga, California

Type : Full Time 40 hours per week

Description : Support Research Scientists conduct research projects / experiments that support Fire Safety. The R&D Laboratory Technician position will report to the R&D Manager. Will work closely with other laboratory staff, departments and agency technical staff.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

• Assist Research personnel with product development of Fire Safety Products
• Perform laboratory tests according to written procedures
• Document and report all testing results and observations and support team as appropriate
• Maintain safe lab environment including the cleaning & maintenance of lab facility and equipment
• Clean up lab spills, dispose of lab samples, raw materials, and lab chemicals in compliance with lab safety and environmental regulations
• Perform safety checks as required
• Receive, organize, inspect, and uniquely identify incoming test samples
• Prepare solutions as assigned
• Maintain and order lab supplies as needed
• Must be able to travel
• Participate in ISO audits
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintains laboratory instruments to ensure all are in good working condition and are calibrated
