Job description.We are looking for a Linux Administrator for a contract role based in California City, CA, United States. This is a long-term contract with a global IT consulting leader.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
- Expertly configure and meticulously document Linux systems
- Efficiently manage virtual machines to facilitate powerful simulation applications
- Thoroughly conduct audits on hardware and software for optimal performance
- Proactively apply timely OS updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Diligently troubleshoot and resolve reported problems to ensure smooth operations
- At least 5 years of extensive IT experience
- IT qualifications or a Tertiary Degree
- Hold a Red Hat Certified Engineer qualification
- Proficient in working with SQL / MYSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle databases
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices
- Hands-on experience in Windows Desktop and server administration
- Skills at the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level
- Mandatory : Possess a NV1 Security Clearance
