Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced CNC Machinists (Level 2/3) to join a fast-growing aerospace manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City. This second-shift position is responsible for setting up and operating advanced CNC milling equipment while producing precision components to strict quality and tolerance requirements.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term growth and advancement potential for skilled machinists who can independently set up equipment, troubleshoot machining issues, and maintain consistent quality in a precision manufacturing environment.




Required Experience & Skills

• 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines
• Experience operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills
• Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
• Experience working with tight machining tolerances
• Ability to adjust tooling and machine offsets
• Ability to perform minor CNC program edits
• Strong machining and tooling troubleshooting skills
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work required overtime and Saturdays




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, machining specifications, and production documentation
• Select and adjust tooling according to production requirements
• Make machine offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed
• Monitor machining operations to maintain production efficiency and part quality
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and tolerance requirements
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify finished parts meet specifications
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and aerospace manufacturing quality requirements




Preferred Qualifications

• Previous aerospace or precision manufacturing experience
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machining
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Experience performing in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Ability to identify and correct machining problems independently




Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement around machining equipment
• Ability to safely handle tooling, materials, and machined components as required
• Comfortable working around CNC equipment, cutting tools, coolant systems, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
