Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in the San Antonio area to provide unparalleled support to our customers and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and / or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks
Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability
Plans, designs, implements and supports local and wide area networks (LANs / WANs) in the areas of Internet connectivity, capacity planning, routing, switching, server load balancing, network security, and wireless
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities
Requires specialized depth and / or breadth of expertise
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices
Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
May lead functional teams or projects
Requires depth and / or breadth of expertise in own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas
Interprets internal / external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services
May lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and / or complexity
Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to identify innovative solutions
Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives;
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Experience in the implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements.
Experience supporting network solutions for complex, high performance systems.
Significant experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks
Broad technical experience and knowledge of peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, peer-to-peer routing, and application messaging frameworks.
Security Clearance Requirements :
Must possess an active TS / SCI w / a Polygraph
