In this dynamic role, you'll develop and update internal policies across finance, IT, procurement, and administration-ensuring compliance, clarity, and efficiency. As the Internal Operations Policy Analyst you will
- Lead the drafting, review, and refinement of internal policies and procedures that impact financial management, procurement, information security, data governance, IT operations, and administrative processes.
- Use your knowledge of laws, regulations and audit standards to ensure policies are compliant and align with best practices.
- Take ownership of maintaining and updating the Finance and IT inventory of policies and provide timely and accurate updates.
- Conduct research on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and peer government practices to inform policy development.
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of policy changes and offer strategic recommendations to enhance efficiency, compliance, and clarity.
- Play a key role in rolling out of new or revised policies by developing clear guidance materials, delivering training sessions, and shaping communication strategies
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives that require policy development or organizational coordination.
- Be the resource for departments seeking clarity or support in interpreting and applying internal policies.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability by supporting audits, compliance reviews, and operational assessments as needed.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND REPRESENTATON
The full-salary range for this position is step 1. $105,734.64 to step 7. $141,694.69.However, unless a candidate's qualifications justify, based on the requirements and Metro's internal equity review process, the appointment will likely be made between step 1. $105,734.64 to the equity range step 4. $122,401.66.
This position is not eligible for overtime and is not represented by a union. It is classified as a Senior Program Analyst.
