The new hospital is the capstone of our 63-acre City of Hope Orange County campus. Where other hospitals must serve the full spectrum of health conditions in our community, every team member at this specialty cancer hospital-from the nurses to nutritionists to physicians - will focus solely on oncology.

T he Department of Surgery, Division of Thoracic Surgery, is seeking a board certified or eligible Thoracic Surgeon with training in advanced oncologic thoracic surgery to meet the needs of our growing program in Southern California. This individual is expected to support our clinical and research programs in Thoracic Oncology with an 80% clinical / 20% academic obligation. Scholarly contributions to further the academic mission of the division will be expected such as translational and / or outcomes research, and participation in clinical trials. The Thoracic Surgeon can look forward to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally recognized multidisciplinary team of Thoracic providers. This is a f ull-time position reporting to the Division Chief of Thoracic Surgery.

• Clinical site in Irvine, CA
• 80% Clinical and 20% academic obligations; The position entails 4 days of clinical work (clinic and OR) and 1 protected day for scholarly achievements.
• Established and expanding referral base in Thoracic Surgery in the region
