Material Handler/Warehouse Associate
Immediate hiring!!! The Material Handler manages all key MJF raw materials, including powders and media, to support the manufacturing process. This role maintains a clean and organized stockroom, transfers virgin powder into barrels for processing, moves used material overflow into storage bins, and ensures media and other supplies are delivered from storage to their point of use when needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage virgin and reclaim powder levels throughout the plant to ensure continuous production support.
- Transfer virgin (new) powder into barrels for use in the manufacturing process.
- Transfer used material overflow into appropriate bins and organize them for storage.
- Deliver barrels and other materials to the manufacturing team in a timely and accurate manner.
- Run media sifting and cleaning equipment to maintain material quality.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized stockroom at all times.
- Apply 5S principles to organize work areas, materials, and equipment effectively.
- Perform basic inventory tasks, including tracking, data entry, and updates in Excel or other systems.
- Follow simple one- or two-step instructions accurately and consistently.
- Work collaboratively with the manufacturing team while also completing tasks independently as needed.
- Pay close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness when handling materials and documentation.
- Follow up on assigned work to ensure tasks are completed to high performance standards.
Essential Skills
- Forklift experience and ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly stockroom.
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend basic instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel for basic data entry and inventory tracking.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness in all tasks.
- Ability to follow and support high performance and work standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Experience with 5S management and a strong understanding of 5S principles.
- Experience with inventory processes and data entry.
- Comfort working with media sifting and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization and quality.

Work Environment
This role operates in a large-scale manufacturing environment that uses MJF raw materials, powders, and media. Work involves frequent movement of materials, operating forklifts, and running media sifting and cleaning equipment. The stockroom and work areas follow 5S principles, emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and efficiency. You work to high performance standards with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, and you are expected to follow up on tasks to ensure quality results. The environment is collaborative, with regular interaction with the manufacturing team, and may require wearing appropriate industrial work attire and safety equipment in production and stockroom areas.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
