Job Summary and Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role :

  • You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and / or Outpatient.
  • You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical / therapeutic services.
  • You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
  • You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
  • You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.
  • What Qualifications You Will Need :

  • Master’s degree in Speech – Language Pathology
  • American Speech & Hearing Association
  • Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be eligible for clinical fellowship
  • One year of work experience or clinical internship is preferred
  • New grads to be considered
  • Prior one year of hospital / health care related experience is preferred
  • Basic computer skills in word processing, internet
