  • Assist in maintaining and managing auction and purchased vehicle inventory.
  • Recommend process improvements and technology enhancements to improve evaluation accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support purchasing and remarketing operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of vehicle valuation and automotive market trends.
  • Experience evaluating salvage, damaged, auction, junk, or parts vehicles preferred.
  • Familiarity with appraisal and valuation tools such as MMR, AutoCheck, auction historical sales, and VIN reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple evaluations simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and automotive software systems.

  • Automotive buying or vehicle acquisitions
  • Insurance adjusting or total-loss vehicle evaluation
  • Salvage or wholesale auto auctions
  • Junk car or parts car purchasing
  • Dealership appraisal or used car buying operations

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree preferred, but not required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive purchasing, vehicle appraisal, insurance vehicle evaluation, or auction operations preferred.
