KPC Promise Hospital of PHOENIX : The Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide cardio-pulmonary services according to the scope of the State Respiratory Care Practice Act and the hospital policy and procedure manuals. The Respiratory Care Practitioner may administer and perform those direct and indirect cardio-pulmonary services, including but not limited to, the administration of pharmacological and diagnostic and therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimen prescribed by a physician using safe and aseptic techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Graduate of an American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Care
- Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential (i.e., CRT, RRT).
- Current and valid State Respiratory Care Licensure
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Sufficient hearing, vision and dexterity to perform duties safely
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
Physical : Walking - up to 40% Standing - up to 55% Kneeling - up to 1%
Sitting - up to 5% Pushing - up to 4% Bending - up to 2%
Squatting - up to 1% Pulling - up to 30% Reaching - up to 30%
Lifting - up to 30lbs Wrist / Finger Movements - up to 90%

EXPOSURE RISK : Category I - Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes. Use of appropriate measures is required for every healthcare provider in these jobs.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED : Various oxygen equipment, artificial airways (i.e., tracheotomy tubes, endotracheal tubes), invasive as well as non-invasive ventilator equipment, suction equipment, percussors, electrocardiographic machine, pulse oximetry equipment and supplies, blood gas and other chemistry analyzers, crash carts, other miscellaneous medical equipment, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, computers and other office machines, as appropriate.
CERTIFICATIONS : CRT or RRT, BLS certification, ACLS certification Special note : Candidates with either the CRT or RRT can apply for this position.
