The Office of the Secretary of State (SOS), Business Operations Bureau is seeking to recruit an energetic, self-starter to fill a permanent full-time Staff Services Manager I Specialist (SSM I). This challenging opportunity is ideal for a dynamic individual capable of managing and evolving complex administrative support functions within the Business the Business Operations Bureau section.
Under the direction of the Business Operations Bureau Chief, the employee is responsible for fiscal management and staff services functions including personnel, budget, management analysis, administrative services, program evaluation and planning, policy analysis, formulation and manage resources and division budget allotments which includes three programs : Management Services Division, Safe at Home Program and the Agency’s Overhead. The incumbent will work closely with the Chief, Management Services Division, and other leadership within the division based on work assignments. Desirable Qualifications :
- Strong English communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately apply and interpret current laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with excellent follow-through on tasks, assignments, and large projects with high visibility.
- Ability to address multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
- Ability to plan, assign, and monitor deadlines or tasks to meet Management Services Division Standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills in working with the public and in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to detail when reviewing budget details, policies and legislation to effectively meet objectives.
