Senior Payroll Specialist
Seneca Holdings is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Williamsville, NY. This team member will report to the Payroll Manager. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete onboarding of new hires into payroll systems
- Review timesheets for accuracy
- Process any/all payroll changes required to process biweekly payrolls accurately and timely
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of ADP WFN and payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of FLSA and other federal, state, and local employment laws
- Multistate payroll experience a must
- ERP system experience
- Wage garnishment and tax levy experience
- Union or prevailing wage payroll experience
- Must be able to work with confidential material/information
- Must be analytical and have above average organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to prioritize and work independently or as a team member as needed
- Demonstrated proficiency in the utilization of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong customer service abilities
Desired Skills:
- MS SharePoint experience
- Multistate payroll experience
- Experience posting Labor in different ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint knowledge a plus)
- Government contracting environment experience a plus
- Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated capacity for attention to detail and accuracy of work product
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
- Able to work independently
Salary at Seneca is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The range of this position in other geographic locations may differ.
