Job Description :

System Administrator with an understanding in working in Agile Project management and / or Development Operations environments and to support a Department of Defense research lab.

Roles and Responsibilities :

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Design and implement computer and information networks (physical and virtual), such as local area networks (LAN / VLAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
• Configure and maintain Cisco VPN enabled network
• Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Serve as an administrator in an enclave leveraging various Linux / Unix based operating systems.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux / Unix servers to ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop and implement scripts for automating system administration tasks, including backups, monitoring, and updates.
• Able to work independently with limited direction and be self-motivated.
• Able to work with other contractor teammates and customers daily.
• Able to work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner.
• Support software developers in building and integrating software solutions to requirements-based development efforts by maintaining development environment and network.
• Creating and documenting test cases to ensure functional and security requirements are met by developer software in order to support functional and security audits.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
• Apply software patches to network assets in response to vulnerability findings.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE or HIGHER.
