Role Overview

The role of Welder includes construction of various fabricated parts and assembly from engineered prints by cutting, fitting, and welding.

Responsibilities

• Operates welding equipment to fabricate components and assemblies including structural frames, and piping.
• Read blueprints and drawings to build designed fabrications.
• Lay out and fit up fabricated components with tight tolerances indicated in drawings / prints using appropriate tools.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) which may be subjected to non-destructive testing (NDE including but not limited to Xray, PT, MT, UT).
• Visually inspect welds and material and repair flaws by cutting, grinding, or air arc.
• Maintain equipment in condition that does not compromise safety.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
