Job description

Description

Radiology Technologist – Ambulatory Care (Variety of Locations & Shifts)

PeaceHealth is hiring a Radiology Technologist who enjoys variety in their workday—different clinic locations, different shifts, and a fast-moving outpatient environment—without the pace or pressures of a hospital setting.

This is a full-time (0.95 FTE), variable position supporting ambulatory clinics across the Eugene/Springfield area. If you like mixing up your routine, staying flexible, and building connections with clinic teams and patients, this role offers exactly that.

Pay Range: $40.11 – $60.17/hour
Hiring rate depends on education, training, experience, and applicable agreements.
Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Clinic-based work – no inpatient hospital environment
  • Variety built in – rotate between multiple outpatient clinic locations
  • Flexible scheduling – weekdays and weekends between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Consistent patient flow with less acute stress than hospital imaging
  • Strong team support within PeaceHealth’s ambulatory community

What You’ll Do

  • Perform standard x-ray exams
  • Adapt exams to meet patient needs while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment for daily procedures
  • Review patient history, prior imaging, and provider orders to ensure the right exam is performed
  • Educate patients before and after their exam
  • Apply ALARA principles and follow infection control and radiation safety standards
  • Support clinic operations with light clerical and workflow organization as needed
  • Provide training or education to staff and students when applicable

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Currently enrolled in, or a graduate of, an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to work with patients across all age groups
  • Venipuncture competency
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS

Credentials

  • ARRT (Radiography) – required within 6 months of hire
  • Oregon Radiologic Technologist license through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI temporary license accepted while awaiting certification)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire

Skills That Help You Thrive Here

  • Clear, friendly communication with patients and teammates
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Comfort juggling priorities in a changing clinic environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability when schedules or locations vary

Working Conditions

  • Outpatient clinical settings
  • Patient handling up to 35 lbs. (with assistive devices as needed)
  • Regular standing, walking, and use of imaging equipment
  • Exposure to body fluids and airborne particles typical of clinical care

Total Rewards at PeaceHealth

We care about your whole wellbeing—inside and outside of work. Benefits include:

  • Low cost medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions
  • Generous paid time off
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance (with buy-up options)
  • Tuition and continuing education reimbursement
  • Wellness programs and expanded mental health support

If you want variety without hospital call and enjoy working in clinic environments, this PeaceHealth role could be a great fit.
