divh2Operations Analyst/h2pThe Operations Analyst supports the Terminal Manager in monitoring and analyzing operational costs and spend, while contributing to a variety of case-by-case projects that drive terminal efficiency and performance. This is an entry-level individual contributor role well-suited for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in business analytics while gaining experience in marine terminal and industrial operations. This position is on site at the terminal./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliTrack, analyze, and report on terminal operating costs and spend across key categories, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for savings/liliPrepare recurring cost and performance reports for terminal leadership/liliEnable effective budget management by identifying, analyzing, and explaining forecast and budget variances./liliAssist the Terminal Manager with projects, including operational analyses, process documentation, vendor comparisons, and special initiatives/liliGather and organize data from multiple sources to support decision-making/liliCollaborate with Finance, Accounting, Maintenance, Engineering and other operational teams to ensure data accuracy and project continuity/liliPresent findings and summaries in a clear, concise format for internal stakeholders/li/ulh3Education and Experience/h3ulliBachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field/lili0 to 2 years of relevant experience; internship or co-op experience in an industrial or operational setting is a plus/liliProficiency in Microsoft Excel/liliProficiency in the use of AI and AI powered tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making while safeguarding confidentiality of information./liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail/liliAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines/liliEffective written and verbal communication skills/liliSelf-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-adjacent environment/liliTWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTTs terminal locations./liliDemonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem solving and organizational skills; attention to detail; flexibility in assignments; and ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines/li/ulh3Skills and Abilities/h3ulliStrong business writing, presentation development, and speaking/interpersonal skills/liliDemonstrated ability in learning and mastering analytical software, especially MS Excel/liliPositive, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment/liliDemonstrated creativity and willingness to challenge the status quo by applying new ideas, technologies, and continuous improvement thinking to solve problems/li/ulh3Hours of Work/h3ulliTypical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm./liliThis is an exempt, salaried position.
