Job Title : Software Vehicle Test Engineer

Duration : 6 month contract with extensions

Location : Santa Clara, CA (5 days onsite)

Compensation : $42 / hr to $50 / hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Software Vehicle Test Engineer to join one of our largest tech clients in the Bay Area. What you’ll be doing :

• Handle end-to-end AV software testing for autonomous driving functions (like ACC, LK etc) & parking, collaborating with teams across the Automotive platform.
• Validate product in the car and review requirements, develop test metrics and establish KPI-metrics evaluation.
• Design test routes and perform tests at larger scale to ensure SW quality could match expectations of the end user.
• Report events as per the defined protocols including Safety and work with collaborators to improve the reports, communication.
• Triage Lev1 events and put analysis for stakeholders to review.
• Preform testing based on test plans to collect proving ground and public road scenarios to ensure comprehensive real-world testing for ADAS / AS SW features.
• Collect quality and valuable expert feedback from test drives and present them with multi-functional feature PICs / Leads.
• Debugging issues, collaborating with engineers to identify root causes, and chip in to process improvements. This role can pay between $50-$70 / hour depending on years of experience and skillset.
