Data Analyst

An energy and utilities client is looking for a Data Analyst who will gather documents and research data on assigned topics, using databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources.

Analyzes, codes, tests, and documents moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications.

Location : Pomona, CA 91768 (Hybrid)

Position : Data Analyst

Pay : $39 / hr. on W2

Duration : 12 months or longer

Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm

The position will be hybrid. 4 days remote, 1 day onsite - every Wednesday in Pomona

Responsibilities :

• Provide analytical data support to the VOC, tier 1 corporate goal. Participate in and contribute to various projects related to operations and projects to enhance VM Customer Engagement performance and improve processes and procedures.
• Create business tools enabling efficiencies by streamlining manual processes through automation.
• Provide customer escalation support by demonstrating negotiation skills for mitigation of vegetation compliance.
• Partners with VM Business Readiness on the deployment of operational analytics, tools, and processes that support VM pre-established corporate-level performance goals.
• Support efforts in the implementation of compliance, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and other VM efforts.
• Develop and assist with the creation and delivery of presentations to various levels of management, in support of VM and goals.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs.
• Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
• May be responsible for the completion of a phase of a project.
• Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers.

Required Skills / Attributes :

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in building dashboards.
• Power BI reporting experience.
• Experience with Abora, SAP, survey 123, and fulcrum.
• Strong background in analysis and working with dashboards.
• Experience in utility vegetation operations workflow processes and programs is a plus.
• Experience is transferable to vegetation management.
• Project management background is a plus.
• Candidate will need to be comfortable with pulling multiple data sources, large data set experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering, documenting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions on complex data and information.
• Demonstrated experience in performing a variety of functions and handling moderately complex programs, projects, and assignments.
• Candidate must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
• Advanced experience in data analysis including performance metrics, customer service metrics, goals, and organizational initiatives.
• Experience with streamlining manual processes through automation.
