HR Generalist / Recruiter

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist / Recruiter in our Columbus, Ohio location. This is a dual-role position responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations and leading recruitment efforts across the organization. This role supports a broad range of HR responsibilities including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and talent acquisition as well as projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized professional who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

HR Generalist Functions

• Administers HR policies / procedures and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Supports employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Serves as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters and recommends appropriate actions in response to performance and conduct issues.
• Maintains records and generates reports as needed.
• Coordinates training sessions and support organizational development initiatives.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3 - 5 years of experience in HR and / or recruitment preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and talent acquisition strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong customer service orientation. Experience with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools and techniques. Ability to multitask and effectively manage priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS / ATS platforms. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Working Environment

Combination of office and factory environments. Required to follow Allied Mineral Products' Safety & Health policy and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
