As Director of Education, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways :
- Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates all education staff.
- Coordinates and supervises programs offered by Elara Caring’s education department.
- Identifies trends and needs in education and designs programmatic responses including preparation of program descriptions and narratives for grant applications.
- Develops and nurtures relationships to strengthen connections with communities and other organizations.
- Plans and develops the budget for educational programs and tracks to ensure that programs operate within financial parameters set forth in the board-approved budget.
- Oversees scheduling of educational programs.
- Participates in grant proposal planning, preparation, tracking and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Oversees curriculum, supply selection and purchasing, as well as staff training and operations.
- Researches and selects textbooks, along with other educational materials and instructional methods.
- Mentors new staff members, teaches workshops, and seminars.
- Provides constructive feedback based on evaluations.
- Performs other duties / projects as assigned.
What is Required?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education Administration, Education Leadership, or related field.
- 7+ year experience teaching experience.
- Teaching Certification is preferred.
- Experience in a behavioral health is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Reliable transportation to perform job duties.
- Ability to travel 25-50%.
