Our customer has asked us to help them find a Field Service Technician to service and install our customer’s machinery in their customer’s facilities.
The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.
- Plan and perform a variety of assembly, testing and adjustments on machine assemblies with primary emphasis on the electro-mechanical systems.
- Assist and guide the installation, adjustment, and repair of finished equipment at customers’ location.
- Instruct customer personnel (and co-workers) on proper operation of equipment.
- Basic controls programming and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
- Monitor erection and installation of equipment to ensure that company guidelines and tolerances have been met.
- Service company products at customer sites; testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting as needed.
- Use various gauges, meters, and electrical testing equipment to check specifications.
- Provide technical support to customers over the telephone, addressing and resolving questions and problems.
- Communicate with appropriate company employees regarding product problems to facilitate problem resolution.
- Complete all required records and documentation for customers and for the company.
- Determine the acceptance of equipment erection.
- Remain technically competent and keep current in new developments within the industry.
Qualifications :
- Proven Field Service experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- English literacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
- Technical degree or certification.
- Sound working knowledge of the PC computer platform and Windows operating system environment.
- Strong technical skills related to the installation, repair, and servicing of equipment.
- Ability to discern color coded wiring and components.
- Working knowledge of low voltage circuitry.
Requirements and Skills :
- Must be able to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
- Must hold a valid US Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must hold a valid US Passport.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, and lay on the floor.
- Some Overtime, Willingness to Travel up to 80%
