Summary :
ThePurchasing Manager will be responsible for the planningorganization and administration of all purchasing activities withinQuera while being accountable for the procurement of materials onboth a national and international level streamlining distributionand optimizing inventory management.
Your expertise will drive thesuccess of our timesensitive projects necessitating strongorganizational skills and a proactive approach to meeting tightdeadlines.
Responsibilities :
- Managethe planning purchasing and supply chain activities of goods andservices to ensure an adequate supply of material to supportcompany initiatives and servicedelivery.
- Collaborate with engineers scientistsand other internal groups to troubleshoot and resolve technicalissues and supplier capabilities.
- Manage anddevelop relationships with external vendors including inventorylevels cost structure delivery schedules and overall quality anddelivery performance.
- Provide analysis ofmaterial requirements based on forecast orders and othermethods.
- Evaluate suppliers based on criteriasuch as quality reliability cost and technologicalcapabilities.
Qualifications :
- BS / BAand at least 7 years supply chain experience coupled with a strongunderstanding of procurement inventory management and distributionstrategies within a manufacturing or industrial environmentpreferably within optics / laserenvironment.
- Proven ability in negotiation andconflict resolution particularly with suppliers and externalpartners to ensure costeffective procurement and supplyagreements.
- Experience in forecast managementand capabilities of balancing supply with demand to optimize stockand costs.
- Competence in setting up andmanaging stock control and purchase planning systems with a keeneye for detailed reporting and analysis.
- Highlyeffective verbal and written communication abilities essential forcrossdepartmental collaboration and building strong stakeholderrelationships.
