CGI is looking for business analysts to join our expanding Life / Annuity Data Migration Practice. Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, collaborate with member partners and clients across the globe, and leverage your life and annuity industry knowledge to help define and grow our practice.

This is a Full Time Opportunity and the role can be performed from NY, NY; Hartford, CT; New Brunswick, NJ; or Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to perform data migration from legacy life and annuity insurance admin systems
  • Elicit requirements for data extraction from source systems
  • Understand mapping requirements to format and load data into target system
  • Understand audit files
  • Execute transactions against loaded data and compare against audit files
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the following.
  • Proficient in collaborating with various project stakeholders for modelling requirements, interpreting business requirements, determining solution scope, developing software specification or functional requirements, defining the testing strategy, and providing implementation / post-implementation support.
  • Good technical acumen to perform data analysis for analyzing complex issues with the ability to run intermediate SQL queries for extracting information.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

Minimum 5 years industry experience with the following.

  • Complex Life Insurance Products at a very granular level including Variable Universal Life Insurance, Indexed Universal Life Insurance, Variable Annuities, etc.
  • The structure, coverages, and financial terminology related to those sorts of products including : Cash Value and valuations, Investment options and crediting methods, Policy transactions and history (premium payments, withdrawals, loans, surrender, etc.)

Experience with one or more of the following systems : CSC / DXC platforms such as : Vantage, Life / 70, RPS

  • Other platforms such as : FIMMAS, EXL LifePro
  • Works well independently and as part of a team. Experience working with remote teams spread across time zones.
  • Agile Scrum and SAFe methodologies, actuarial

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.

S. is $85,800 - 228,100.
