Job Summary

Team Coordinators are clinical leaders for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Team which specializes in providing evidence based, trauma informed, integrated services for individuals with substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.

The primary role of this position is to serve as the Team Coordinator for the Mental Health Docket. The Mental Health Docket is a specialized court docket that provides supervision and treatment services to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

The Mental Health Docket Team Coordinator is an integral component of an inter-disciplinary team and works collaboratively with the Department of Community Corrections, General District Court, Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, Office of the Public Defender and other programs in the Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services.

In this role, you will :

  • Provide clinical supervision to outpatient clinicians to assure appropriate service delivery, as well
  • as administrative oversight to assure compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Serve as a clinical lead and participate in interagency collaboration
  • Apply your specific education and professional training experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders, as well as training in clinical supervision
  • Complete assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, facilitating groups, and provide individual and family therapy
  • Complete and maintain of all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state, and agency policies and procedures to assure compliance.
  • Attend court weekly as a member of the Mental Health Docket Team

Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, and / or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • VA clinical licensure as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCP
  • Minimum 2-years of professional experience in the provision of Substance Abuse and Mental Health treatment services which may include internship experience

Valued Skills and Experience :

  • Prior clinical supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive clinical skills in providing individual, group, and family therapy
  • Formal training in treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Dedication to fully contributing as a member of a clinical team
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to provide behavioral health services remotely using appropriate technological support and according to professional standards

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Special Requirements :

  • Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week and requires flexibility to include evening hours. Office locations include the Leesburg and Sterling sites
  • Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies :

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test.

Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
