What You'll Contribute
The Senior Specialist, Accounting will be responsible for accurately processing and recording financial transactions related to invoices and payments.
What You'll Do
- Assist with financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for accounts payable transactions.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain effective relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries, resolving payment-related concerns, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, such as reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to accounts payable transactions for audits and internal control purposes.
What you have
Minimum education, skills and experience required.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred education, skills, and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced education is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role.
