Oh and here are a few more .. As a Staff Accountant, you'll work closely with Senior Staff and Managers to ensure that basic client accounting work is being completed accurately.

You're able to perform self-review of work, draw conclusions and discuss with responsible staff in addition to receiving information from clients and relaying to the appropriate person.

Role and Responsibilities : Understands and applies basic technical concepts Completes basic accounting responsibilities Produces accurate client deliverables prior to deadlines and within time budgets Determines client information needed to complete projects, requests information from clients, and ensures information is received Follows and understands project plans, checklists, and templates to complete procedures Prepares financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows Conducts basic technical research and applies information to specific client situations Obtains basic understanding of the client’s business and completes the deliverables and projects assigned to support their business Participates in networking meetings to expand business relationships in community, as approved Supports implementation of special projects to improve the department and firm Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required Eligibility to sit for CPA exam Knowledge of GAAP and / or IRS regulations is required Working knowledge of relevant computer applications including Microsoft Applications Strong interpersonal and communication skills is required Problem analysis and problem-solving Confidentiality and professionalism Whalen CPAs is an equal opportunity employer.
