Senior Vice President of Finance

Proper Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to join our corporate team and lead the financial strategy and operations of our growing portfolio.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Strategy

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives, including capital allocation, budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling

Financial Planning & Analysis

Oversee financial planning and analysis activities, including revenue forecasting, expense management, profitability analysis and variance analysis

Financial Reporting

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as ad hoc reporting for senior management and stakeholders

Treasury Management

Manage cash flow, liquidity and treasury functions to optimize working capital and support business operations

Risk Management

Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk, through effective risk management strategies and controls

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls, and oversee external audits and regulatory filings

Business Partnering

Collaborate with other departments and business units to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive performance improvement initiatives

Leadership & Team Development

Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and talent development

Mergers & Acquisitions

Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments

Continuous Improvement

Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of finance operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the hospitality industry.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change and ambiguity
