Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager
This senior manager position is responsible for managing a team in the creation of contracts by leveraging expert knowledge of KP purchase agreements and provisions; ensuring the alignment of agreements with sourcing strategies; partnering with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements are translated into contract specifications; understanding and anticipating the short and long-term impacts and risks associated with agreements and business decisions; fostering relationships and managing the internal stakeholder process throughout the contract lifecycle; and managing the preparation of written contracts, reports, and presentations for diverse stakeholders. This position is also responsible for managing the completion and review of contract cost and spend analyses; managing complex and / or high impact contract negotiations both verbally and in writing; overseeing the management of projects or portions of larger projects; managing the reporting and measurement of SLAs and metrics; overseeing the supplier selection and management process; and reviewing and selecting supplier proposals for leadership approval.

- Manages designated units or teams by translating business plans into tactical action items; oversees the completion of work assignments and identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures all policies and procedures are followed; partners with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure products and / or services meet requirements and expectations while aligning with departmental strategies. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; assumes responsibility for decision making; fosters direct reports to resolve escalated issues as appropriate. Communicates goals and objectives; incorporates resources, costs, and forecasts into team and unit plans; ensures matrixed resources are fulfilling service or performance requirements across reporting lines. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams and units to operate in alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Manages a team in the creation of contracts by leveraging expert knowledge of KP purchase agreements and provisions; ensuring agreements are aligned with sourcing strategies; verifying information on precedents related to context, supplier and / or industry to ensure optimal results; partnering with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are translated into desired contract specifications; fostering relationships and agreements with suppliers; managing the internal stakeholder process throughout the contract lifecycle; adhering to all purchasing policies; reviewing performance data and taking necessary corrective action; understanding the short and long-term impacts and risks associated with agreements and business decisions; and managing the preparation of written contracts, reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders and leadership.
- Manages and reviews contract cost and spend analyses, reports, data summaries and related stakeholder presentations; and partners with leadership to identify and capitalize on cost saving opportunities.
- Manages complex and / or high impact contract negotiations both verbally and in writing by applying expertise in negotiation strategies and methodologies; adjusting negotiations based on key issues, parties, interests and objective standards of legitimacy; and managing the agreement approval process.
- Oversees the management of projects or portions of large scale projects by managing the identification of objectives, deliverables, timelines, and general project needs; monitoring the project activity of team members and assuring achievement of deliverables; bringing issues and concerns immediately to the attention of key stakeholders and leadership as appropriate; and partnering on project quality review and evaluation.
- Manages the reporting and measurement of SLAs and metrics by ensuring team delivery against SLA criteria; identifying opportunities to improve SLAs and metrics; resolving and / or escalating issues that could impact SLA performance; and meeting or exceeding SLA requirements on an ongoing basis.
- Oversees supplier selection and management by leveraging expertise of supplier capabilities and advanced knowledge of factors affecting a suppliers ability to meet KP requirements; and reviewing and selecting supplier proposals for leadership approval.
Minimum Qualifications include :
Minimum five (5) years experience in contract management or procurement, including contract negotiations.Minimum three (3) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, Procurement, Business, Finance, or a directly related field and minimum eight (8) years experience in contract management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement. Masters or JD degree may be substituted for the work experience requirements.Additional Requirements include :
