Public Relations Manager (Billingual)

The Newlink Communications Tourism Practice is seeking an exceptional Billingual Public Relations Manager to join our dynamic international team.

Position Overview :

As a Billingual (English and Spanish) Public Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in our PR team, managing a variety of client accounts, mentoring junior team members, and driving successful PR campaigns.

Responsibilities :

• Mentor and lead junior team members, encouraging professional development and sharing industry knowledge.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing day-to-day activities, providing strategic counsel, and leading regular PR interactions.
• Execute and manage PR initiatives, including plans, press trips, events, and media appointments.
• Write persuasive copy for pitches, releases, case studies, and reports.
• Spearheaded PR campaigns, ensuring annual objectives are met, and developing client-specific media strategies.
• Cultivate relationships with media, freelancers, and influencers; identify industry trends for strategic pitches.
• Participate in new business proposals, brainstorming sessions, and staff meetings.

Requirements :

• 5+ years of PR agency experience with travel, tourism, and / or hospitality clients.
• Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish, demonstrating bilingual capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• Experience with traditional and new media; familiarity with influencers and digital campaigns is a plus.
• Proven experience in pitching stories to top-tier consumer and trade media outlets.
• Comfortable leading client calls and serving as the primary day-to-day client contact.
• Creative thinker with experience in creative partnerships and programming.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; be very outstanding in leading clients, partners, and employees, let your natural extroverted and leadership personality flow.
• Knowledge of the travel industry from B2B and B2C standpoints is highly desired.
• Experience in delegating and managing junior team members.
• Familiarity with industry tools / platforms.
