Compliance Program Manager

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join the Amazon Kuiper team to support regulatory compliance operations of the business. The Compliance Program Manager will be responsible for supporting regulatory compliance requirements, tracking test data and maintaining schedule alignment across multiple programs. The Compliance Program Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a regulatory compliance oversight database across Kuiper Customer Terminal programs to align requirements, schedule, coverage gaps, current test results and approval status. They will work with cross-functional stakeholders and regulatory compliance engineers to drive schedule, assess risk and ensure that all compliance activities are sequenced in a timely manner to ensure successful product roll-outs. This opportunity requires a subject matter expert to contribute within a fast-paced, growing team. You will champion customer outcomes and use your knowledge of the industry and regulatory horizon to ensure sustainable, compliant solutions are formed. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in an open collaborative peer environment. Export Control Requirement : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities include :

• Planning and directing compliance testing of hardware platforms, devices, and accessories with external 3rd party test labs.
• Supporting the design team through product execution, and ensuring we meet all applicable regulatory compliance requirements.
• Performing detailed, and independent research and literature reviews to yield actionable conclusions to ambiguous regulatory compliance issues.
• Delivering concise and informative compliance updates to leadership.
• Working with internal compliance engineers, manufacturing partners and labs to test and ensure all in-production devices remain compliant with all certifications.
• Working closely with the product management team and design team by researching and specifying regulatory and industry compliance requirements.
• Determining the applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements for new and existing products.
• Communicating technical safety and compliance requirements to design teams, operations, and contract manufacturers.
• Engaging with senior Amazon leaders to represent compliance-related topics.
• Contributing to international expansion and certification strategies.
• Staying abreast of industry activities by participating in standards development committees or other industry organizations relevant to Kuiper.
