The Finance Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities within Finance and Accounting. Additionally, they serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for internal questions on financial coding, expense report assistance, and invoice processing.

To be successful, the Finance Clerk will proactively and independently collaborate with colleagues across GMAC, possess confidence in handling coding and numerical data, and exhibit a highly organized and efficient approach to operations, prioritizing quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for internal teams, offering prompt assistance regarding financial coding, reclassifications, and the processing of expenses or invoices.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of expense coding within GMAC to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our financial records.
  • Provide various transactional reports for Finance, Accounting, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and uphold essential finance policies and facilitate transparent and consistent communication with staff, including but not limited to the Expense Policy and AMEX Policy.
  • Assist FP&A and Accounting teams on various administrative tasks as required, such as vendor setup, collections, insurance support, and management of corporate card operations, etc.
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 3 years of work experience preferably performed in an administrative function in a corporate setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and be detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide variety of people using diplomacy, tact and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently prioritize work with minimal supervision in a team setting.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated writing skills for business and Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC's hybrid work environment.
