Orange County diners will soon have the opportunity to break bread with Benny and Mary, two very eccentric individuals whose space is quite eclectic, yet surprisingly comfortable, said Vigil in a press release.
We are confident that this wholly unique space with a fabulous atmosphere will captivate with its vibrant energy and whimsical sophistication.
Executive Chef Matthew Resler (who helmed menus at Temecula’s Public House and the Rustik Fork in Riverside) will create the new eatery’s brunch, lunch, and dinner offerings.
Benny and Mary’s will feature dishes like chopped kale salad with green and purple kale, Korean short rib tacos with bulgogi-braised short rib and house-made kimchi, bucatini with house-made fennel sausage and pistachio pesto, and a 12-hour braised short rib osso bucco with amaretto-butternut squash puree.
We are looking for true hospitality liaisons that enjoy building relationships with our guests while keeping our high standards throughout the restaurant.
Food Runners deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately, acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities, inspecting dishes for visual appeal and to ensuring that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature in a timely fashion is of utmost importance.

Job Duties
- Maintain verbal communication with chefs to check on the status of dishes, and call for waitstaff when food is ready to serve.
- Keep staff well-informed and alert the waitstaff when the kitchen is out of a specific ingredient and relay special food requests from the waitstaff to the kitchen.
- Meet presentation standards by inspecting every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the customer.
- Keep work areas clean and order in all expo, prep, and food storage areas, keeping these areas neat, well organized, and stocked with ingredients.
- Adhere to sanitation standards to make sure sanitation standards are kept in place.
- Address customer complaints by listening and finding solutions with the chef or manager that will satisfy customers.
