Senior Manager, Shopper Marketing (AFH & Emerging)

The Senior Shopper Marketing Manager will drive the process, development and execution of marketing plans across the Away From Home and Emerging channels. In partnership with marketing, sales and the customer, the Sr. Shopper Marketing Manager will play a key role in the creation, alignment and execution of shopper marketing strategies along the entire path to purchase within the accounts. This role will be instrumental to building out process and national shopper marketing strategy in partnership with customer shopper leads and cross-functional partners.
This role is at the foremost a growth strategist - bringing breakthrough innovation to life, building strong retailer relationships, understanding our shopper and shopper behavior to drive preference, and working with the Commercial team to design and implement best-in-class shopper programs to drive sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop Shopper Marketing Strategy : Lead the creation and implementation of a strategy and processes to ensure impactful, insights-driven shopper marketing in the Away From Home and Emerging channels
- Drive Insights Application : Analyze shopper data to inform and enhance category, customer, and brand strategies
- Responsible for the development and execution of 360-degree insights-based national marketing plans in partnership with shopper marketing agency partners and Commercial team
- Partner with Marketing, Category Development and Sales to ensure customer plans and initiatives align with broader Chobani strategies and goals
- Partner with Insights and Category Development to build robust plans to present to customer rooted in data, research and insight
- Collaborate with marketing teams at the customer to understand growth strategies and objectives; provide shopper marketing insights and point of view that maximizes category sales and profitability
- Track, monitor, optimize and analyze shopper marketing executions; quickly disseminate results and prove return on investment
- Represent the shopper marketing point of view in customer planning meetings and business reviews
- Own / manage shopper marketing spend budget, working closely with Sales account and Finance leads
- Conduct regular in-store visits to develop deep understanding of retail, evaluate shopper in-store activations and ideate on how Chobani can continue to build and launch impactful shopper programs
- Work with cross-functional partners in the strategic and creative development of marketing vision within the retail context
- Understand growth strategies and objectives; provide shopper marketing insights and point of view that maximizes category sales and profitability
- Develop strong working knowledge of the category, Chobani brand, and product platform
- Hone project management skills and the ability to manage budgets and timelines
- Manage agency and vendor contracts and relationships.
- Take on special projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in a related field7+ years of CPG customer sales / marketing / agency experience requiredExperience engaging / partnering directly with customers to develop and launch joint shopper solutionsStrong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyPrevious experience converting consumer, category, competitor, and channel / customer insights into marketing plansAbility to demonstrate a deep understanding of account management, customer operations and category management principlesStrong financial acumen and understanding of customer data / metricsAbility to assimilate large amounts of data and create solutions that are concise and easy-to-understandPassion for building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externallyAbility to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teamsExperience linking strategy to implementationPossesses an entrepreneurial spiritWillingness to travel (30%)
