Our client, a renowned Fortune 500 company in the technology industry, is seeking a Planner and Program Manager to join their APIX Team within the AR display department.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in designing and building innovative prototypes for head-mounted displays. As the Planner and Program Manager, you will oversee project planning, execution, and coordination with various teams to ensure successful project delivery.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

Responsibilities :

• Establish and implement an intake process for new project requests using a trackable system.
• Collaborate with department managers and stakeholders to prioritize project requests.
• Develop a comprehensive planning process to organize workflow, including detailed planning for each project phase : design, spec document generation, material ordering, and internal or external build.
• Manage project execution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, communicating updates, and reporting to management.
• Lead the organization and management of systems for part and project tracking.
• Coordinate project timelines and outsourcing of parts and services as needed.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance work quality and efficiency.
• Manage deadlines with suppliers and internal teams, leveraging your understanding of production, prototyping, and fabrication processes.
• Oversee vendor onboarding and purchase order creation.
• Report project status to leadership.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

• Hardware development project management experience within the last 5 years, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in understanding development, prototyping, and fabrication processes, including schedule, cost, and quality tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, open mindset, and eagerness to learn.
• 8-10 years of experience, with at least a bachelor's degree and strong presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with vendor onboarding and purchase order creation.
• Proficiency in task management systems.
• Budget planning experience.
• PMI or PMP certification.
