Job Title Business Analyst - Finance Division Division of Finance & Administration Department Office of Information Technology Position Category Staff FLSA Exempt Pay Range Commensurate with experience Minimum Commensurate with experience Maximum Commensurate with experience Fund Source State Support Job Duties The Business Analyst Finance will maximize the value derived from the University’s information systems by analyzing, designing, developing, testing, training, documenting, and configuration of client systems, screen layouts, user interfaces, printed outputs, system interfaces, and provide system functional support in a Finance setting at a college or university.
Acts as the primary liaison between Division of Finance and Administration and the Enterprise Applications Team.
Requested Minimum Qualifications Education : A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience : - 5 years or more of related functional and professional experience with Ellucian Banner Finance improving and automating business processes within the Finance Office at a college or university creating efficiency, in areas that include, but not limited to : Procurement, General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Journal Entries, Budget Development, Sponsored Research and Grants Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Banner Finance Self-Service is required.
- Experience with developing and maintaining testing plans and training programs within the Finance Office at a college or university creating efficiency.
- Experience evaluating third-party software and making recommendations to management.· Experience with Ellucian Banner Cloud, Experience, Insights, Workflow, Argos, ODS and / or other Finance related applications.
- Experience in project management and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities : · Knowledge of Accounts Receivables processes within a college or university setting.· Demonstrated deep understanding of Finance and Accounting standards and practices at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach. Other Preferences for Consideration
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
- Familiar with GASB (Government Accounting Standards Board) and FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board).
