Our Columbus, Ohio client has a contract opportunity for a Salesforce and Conga Engineer who will serve as a configuration and customization engineer and developer for Salesforce and Conga Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementations.
Purpose of Position :
- The Salesforce and Conga Engineer (SCE) will serve as a configuration and customization engineer and developer for Salesforce and Conga Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementations.
- The SCE plans and executes software configuration management processes and administers tools used for monitoring, recording, and managing changes to client's software and systems.
- The SCE works closely with architects, developers, and management to refine and implement client' application lifecycle process strategy and provides technical knowledge sharing where needed within the team and the Client IT organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Define and Create Salesforce and Conga Configuration Elements such as Process Builders, Flows, Workflows, Lightning Components, Apex triggers, Validation Rules based on Business Requirements.
- Define and Configure CPQ and Conga / CLM Configuration elements such as Products, Pricing, Catalog, Shopping Cart, Constraint Rules, Product Attribute Rules.
- Define and Configure CPQ Advanced pricing elements such as Price Dimensions, Price Matrix, Price Ruleset, Field Expressions, Related Pricing, Tier Pricing, and Dependent Pricing.
Utilize Apex code for handling pricing callbacks.
- Define and Configure Approval Process such as Approval Process, Approval Steps, Approval Rules.
- Define and Configure Advanced CPQ and Conga / CLM elements such as Search Filters, Visibility Rules, ABO Configuration
- Define and Configure Custom Metadata Tables and Custom Metadata Records based on Business Requirements.
- CI / CD Activities for Migration of Metadata and Data Components across multiple environments using combination of CI / CD, Data Migration tools such as Data loader, SFDX unlocked packages, SFDX-CLI, and Jenkins
- Create and / or contribute to technical and functional documentation such as detailed architectural and system design documents.
- Participate in project / sprint planning, status, and review meetings.
- Help Identify problem areas and help identify causes of problems and suggest actions for solving them.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of projects as per established roadmaps by working closely with the business teams.
- Support future solution strategies by working closely with Business and IT Development teams
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, subject matter experts, and users to communicate the proposed solution vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Ensure effective communication between technical and functional resources, both internal and external.
- Develop specific functionalities within various development languages to meet functional design requirements.
- Document technical aspects of new features.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the application software.
- Adhere to industry best practices for change and release management.
- Support testing and development needs from other IT team members.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other : (KSAOs)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development environments.
- Minimum 3 years Salesforce Configuration and Platform development experience.
- Salesforce Developer certifications preferred.
- Experience with Sales Cloud preferred. Service, Marketing and Community experience a plus.
- Experience with Conga (Apttus) Configuration for Salesforce is preferred Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementations.
- Experience configuring templates with X-Author is a plus.
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, exposure to database development, and design pattern skills.
- Ability to work with both the business and functional resources to understand and define functional requirements.
- Experience with common development and debugging tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross-vendor teams and deliver to aggressive timelines.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with organizational stakeholders to translate business challenges into system requirements.
