Area Vice President
Reports To : Varies by location
Functions Supervised : Area Branch Operations, Administration, Sales, and Member Business Development
Primary Functions : Monitor, direct and control activities within assigned area, focusing on enhancing the employee experience, delivering exceptional member service, and expanding market share, especially in consumer loan and deposit products and services. Responsible for developing an Area Support Manager, as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and execute strategies aligned with the area business plan to achieve service delivery goals, expand market share, and drive business growth. Assist with site identification for relocation or new branch locations and coordinate with key partners for set-up and closure activities.
Act as the credit union's representative to local businesses. Maintain a regular schedule of sales calls on area businesses, identifying new opportunities, keeping existing business members informed of new services, and assessing their product needs. Provide transparent reporting on Member Business Development activities to senior executive management.
Represent and advocate for the credit union in community, professional, and trade associations as assigned.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels, training compliance, and equitable performance evaluations within your area. Coach branch managers to develop localized initiatives tailored to their markets and provide mentorship.
Assist Branch Administration and branch management in enhancing the effectiveness of membership development activities. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of credit union products, services, pricing, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate in operational, sales and product and services training to enhance regional performance and increase market share.
Provide support to RFS departments through active task force participation, contributing to enhanced training programs aimed at achieving first contact resolution, and assist the Member service Center as required.
Model and champion DEI principles within the team and organization, creating an inclusive environment, seeking diverse perspectives, and building positive working relationships.
Fulfill the responsibilities of a Branch Manager position as required.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in business-related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education : A minimum of five years management experience.
Experience / Skills : Strong communication, personnel management and time management skills required. Business to business sales experience preferred. Must be able to travel and may be required to use own vehicle.
Tenure : Assignment to Area Vice President I, (Category 07), Area Vice President II, (Category 06), or Area Vice President III (Category 05), will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and / or performance.
Compensation
Area Vice President III (Category 05)
Salary Pay Range : $109,361 - $191,554 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
