Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Sr Battery Modeling Engineer to develop our beginning of life and degradation cell physics models.

As a part of the Cell Engineering team, you will work on cutting edge analysis techniques for cell performance and use that analysis to inform cell design.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do :

Owner of the reduced order cell performance model

Drive product direction based on model recommendations

Collaborate across different scales including R&D and Systems teams

Work with experimental teams to get new types of data needed to improve analysis

What you'll bring :

Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field; PhD preferred

3-5 years of experience in modeling electrochemical systems

Experience in finite element analysis with COMSOL experience preferred

Scripting abilities with python experience preferred

First principle knowledge of engineering, chemistry, & physics fundamentals

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation Range : $143K - $159.7K
