Job Summary :

As a Shipping Associate at Walmart, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately preparing merchandise for outbound shipments to customers, distribution centers, or Walmart stores.

Key Responsibilities :

2. Packaging and Labeling :

• Ensure that packages are sealed properly to prevent damage during transit.

3. Shipping Coordination :

• Coordinate with logistics personnel, carriers, and transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Arrange for the loading and unloading of shipments onto trucks or shipping containers using appropriate equipment.
• Communicate any special handling instructions or shipping requirements to carriers as needed.

4. Quality Control :

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with shipping software, computer systems, and handheld devices is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and processing shipments.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and maneuver bulky items using appropriate equipment.
• Physical agility to bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions :

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Use of warehouse equipment and machinery, including shipping software, conveyor belts, and pallet jacks.
