Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy that drives profitable top-line revenue and market share growth.
- Lead strategic sales leadership across all channels, including Natural, Grocery, Mass and Club, ensuring cohesive growth and market expansion.
- Provide strategic direction to brokers, and distributors to ensure consistent execution of brand plans across all trade channels.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including emerging channels to diversify revenue streams and drive strategic growth.
- Strengthen relationships with key retail partners, brokers, and distributors to expand distribution and improve shelf positioning.
- Lead the standardization and optimization of go-to-market playbooks across multiple verticals, ensuring that sales strategies are consistently tailored for each target market and customer segment.
- Leverage syndicated data to track performance, optimize pricing, and enhance category leadership.
- Provide consistent pre and post analysis of accounts on-going performance by utilizing syndicated data and broker / distributor sales reports.
- Manage trade spend efficiency and ROI to optimize promotional investments and improve profitability.
- Keep abreast of all competitive and other relevant information in each account and provide consistent feedback to management team.
- Conduct regular business reviews and category analysis with customers to monitor brand performance, build meaningful relationships, re-affirm strategies to optimize business and the value that is created for our customer.
- Collaborate with customer, broker, and team to ensure plans are implemented and execution is consistent with expectations.
- Partner with Finance to develop budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure cost-effective commercial initiatives.
- Work closely with Operations & Supply Chain to align demand planning and inventory strategies with sales growth.
- Collaborate with CEO & Board on commercial growth plans, ensuring transparency and alignment on strategic priorities.
Required Skills / Qualifications
5+ years of regional account sales management experience within the CPG industry. Center Store and Deli experience a plus3+ years of Broker and Distributor management experienceFact based selling using syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielsen, or Spins with a data driven mindsetProven analytical and category management skills including but not limited to post analysis of promotions, space management, and days of supply.Thrives in a team atmospherePlanning, P&L management, and change management are all a plus.Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) a mustTravel is necessary with some months requiring up to 40%, occasionally requiring air travel; must have a valid driver’s license.Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies that expand distribution, increase brand awareness, and drive market share.Cross-functional collaboration expertise, with the ability to align Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to achieve commercial and overall business objectives.Understanding of retail landscape, including broker and distributor strategies.Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, ensuring both long‑term growth and short‑term business performance.Financial acumen, with the ability to analyze P&L statements, ROI by customer, and trade spend effectiveness to drive profitable growth.Seniority level
