Billing Specialist - Accounts Receivable

Description

Job Purpose : The A / R Specialist is responsible for reviewing outstanding accounts receivable to ensure that claims are being processed correctly and in a timely manner by the assigned payer.

This position is non-exempt and reports to the Account Receivable Supervisor.

What You Will Do :

• Call designated payers to reprocess claims denied in error.
• Review insurance denials and submit corrected claims as required.
• Identify any underpaid claims and resubmit for proper adjudication.
• Follow up on any claims that have not received a response within designated timeline.
• All other duties assigned by A / R Manager / Supervisor and leadership regarding claims scrubbing and review
