Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Director of IT Service Delivery, within the Corporate Chief Information Office (CIO), at our Falls Church, Virginia location.
As a key member of the Northrop Grumman IT Service Delivery team, the Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Corporate Director of IT Service Delivery and other corporate CIO members as needed.
The Executive Assistant serves a critical role in providing executive-level administrative support for the Director of IT Service Delivery, including managing the Director’s schedule, coordinating with internal and external partners, handling all meeting arrangements, assisting with documentation, and other miscellaneous tasks.
The ideal candidate is experienced, pro-active and highly detailed oriented, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, is comfortable working in a high energy and collaborative environment, and has a knack for relationship building at all levels.
This position may require the Executive Assistant to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information necessitating tact, diplomacy, discretion and good judgment.
Strong integrity, quality and performance are essential.
Job responsibilities include :
Manage the Director’s schedule by planning, scheduling and prioritizing meetings; ability to re-work and de-conflict calendar schedule;
ensure meeting and presentation logistics are handled seamlessly.
Support meeting agendas for the Director, arranging the necessary travel and accommodations. Prepare expense reports timely and accurately.
Communicate with executive level internal and external contacts with considerable autonomy, professionally representing the IT Service Delivery organization.
In collaboration with the appropriate staff, gather and provide information as needed (e.g., work closely with other members of the IT Service Delivery team to coordinate weekly team activity reports).
Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignments.
Assist in preparing agendas as needed.
