The Company is in a growth phase and the right candidate will be a part of a new, growing legal team serving a complex manufacturing company with a focus on commercial operations.
Role Description :
The Analyst, Legal Operations will report to the Director of Legal Operations and support the department and organization on a broad range of legal, administrative, and commercial matters.
This is a unique position in a new department. It is not expected that the right candidate will have experience in each of the following responsibilities.
The following list is not comprehensive but rather indicative of the general day-to-day expectations. The most important skill is a willingness to learn and grow with the Company.
Role Responsibilities :
- General legal administration;
- Contract management and contract lifecycle management; CLM software experience a plus (not required);
- Help build a contract management system and maintain records of contract related information, including all material contract terms;
- Familiarity with general contract terms and structure;
- Corporate governance management, entity management software experience a plus (not required);
- Support various legal projects in support of a complex international business operation;
- General litigation administrative support
- Legal billing and vendor management;
- Assist legal and marketing with IP portfolio and IP inventory.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Paralegal certification a plus but not required; part-time JD candidates may be considered
- 2+ years of experience supporting a legal department or law firm
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; deadline oriented
- Skills in problem analysis and resolution
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Hands on work ethic with strong attention to detail
- Corporate legal experience a plus
- A curious disposition and openness to learn and adapt in real time.
Primary Location : Columbus, Ohio (Corporate Office). Alternative location in Lancaster, Ohio.
