We are seekingsomeone to join the Commissioning Team as the Mental HealthCommissioner responsible for the review of mental health serviceprovision acrossSlough.
This post willlead in the strategic review of mental health provision as well asdesigning and implementing services for Slough residents throughhigh quality commissioning.
You willprovide expert advice and draw upon best practice and evidence ofsuccess in theseareas.
This rolerequires strong communication and project management skills todeliver and lead on complex commissioning and transformationprojects within Adult SocialCare.
Key to thisrole is the ability to organise and deliver market engagementactivities with colleagues across the organisation and withpartners to work closely with the Slough Coproduction Network toensure specifications are developed to meet localneeds.
KeyDuties / Accountabilities :
To lead on thestrategic review of Mental Health services and acrossthe Local Authority and BHFT. The aim of this review is to transform services andpathways to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for Sloughadults as well as ensuring best value.
Youwill be responsible for the creation of the Mental Health strategyand actionplan.
The role willuse stakeholder engagement methods to further develop the localstrategic plan for Mental Health services. Through use of range oftechniques including coproduction the role will also designimplement monitor and review specific projects.
This will involveworking closely with key internal and externalstakeholders. This will include AdultSocial Care BHFT and Housing teams as well as including existingand potential users of mental health services and theircarers.
The role willensure services are person centred provide value for money and alsomeet statutory requirements and local strategic objectives oroutcomes.
To lead thedevelopment and implementation of a strategic review of mentalhealth services andpathways.
To deliver acoproduced mental health strategy and actionplan.
To contributeto the assessment and analysis of needs and intelligence gatheringincluding reviews of evidence stakeholder engagement research anddevelopment adoption and dissemination of bestpractice.
To preparereports presentations and related documents asrequired.
To developservice specific systems processes policy and procedures andrelated guidance for Slough Borough Council external agency andservice provideruse.
To contributeto specified change and modernisation initiatives and to servicedesign and redesign projects through a coproduction approach withstakeholders whereappropriate.
To lead thecommissioning of services as required by strategicplans.
To contributeto the delivery of successful outcomes for service users and theirunpaidcarers.
To contributeto service development and to improvements in procurement and postcontractual management for mental health services includingevidencing value for money and the achievement ofoutcomes.
To contributeto partnership and joint working supporting mental healthservices
EssentialExperienceRequired :
Extensiveexperience acquired through a combination of training and workingin a relevant area; managing across a technical or professionalarea demonstrating selfdevelopment and an enthusiasm for continuouslearning isessential.
Experienceworking with local government including knowledge of majorlegislative and other matters facing local government inDirectorate service areas both at present and in the future isessential.
Experience infacilitating change and transformation developing productive andcollaborative ways of working with colleagues and stakeholdersleading and
motivatingothers to achieve continuous improvement isessential.
EssentialQualificationRequired :
Educated todegree level or equivalent with expertise and significantexperience in applied business practices isessential.
Membership of arelevant professional body isessential.
Additionalinformation tonote :
Working hours : 37 hours perweek.
The role isHybrid. The candidate will be required to come into the SloughOffices no less that twice aweek
