As the BASF Coatings Brand Manager, you will take responsibility for the consistent management and development of our global brand. This role goes beyond communication it is about shaping and strengthening our brand identity as we are transitioning from being part of a large corporate group to becoming an independent company. As part of this transformation, we will also adopt a new corporate name in 2026. Together with agencies and our internal team, you will play a key role in building and rolling out the new brand.

You create chemistry by...

• Leading the development of the new standalone brand identity in close cooperation with agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Developing, maintaining, and enforcing the global Brand Guidelines of the company.
• Managing and further developing the central Brand Portal (e.g., Frontify) as the single source of truth for brand assets and tools.
• Overseeing brand-compliant implementation of communication and marketing activities across the global network.
• Defining and managing the brand architecture in close cooperation with Marketing and the different business units, including sub-brands, and product brands.
• Collaborating closely with the People & Culture team to ensure consistency between corporate brand and employer branding (EVP).
• Managing relationships with external agencies, including briefings, steering, and budget coordination.
• Defining and tracking brand-related KPIs to measure awareness, recognition, and consistency.
• Providing templates, assets, and training to enable consistent brand application globally.
• Advising teams on brand strategy, visual storytelling, and positioning.
• Ensuring legal and trademark considerations are included in brand development, in close collaboration with the Legal department.
