Position Overview : We are seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to assist users in resolving computer hardware and software issues.
The successful candidate will respond to user inquiries, diagnose problems with IT equipment and applications, and provide effective solutions to enhance user experience and system performance.
Essential Duties :
- Provide technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining end-user devices and LAN performance.
- Offer day-to-day technical support for Windows, hardware, and applications, diagnosing both hardware and software issues.
- Maintain all documentation associated with technology procedures.
- Serve as the entry point for all incoming technical requests.
- Provide telephone and in-person support to users.
- Escalate and assign request tickets as needed.
- Review onboarding and offboarding accounts to ensure the completion of all necessary tasks and compliance with security policies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications :
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of LAN, Active Directory and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent verbal communication and phone skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Proficient with PCs and desktop system administration.
- Knowledge of end-user devices such as tablets and mobile phones.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, MS Cloud, and SharePoint is essential.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :
- Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Familiarity with telephone, office, and mobile devices is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
