About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer at Clair, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our products. You will take ownership of complex design challenges and lead initiatives that elevate our design standards. Your work will directly influence how users interact with Clair, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and effective experience.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Translate insights into actionable design strategies.

Work with our Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to creatively identify and explore new opportunities to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy

Propose, build, and run A / B tests with clear success metrics and reporting.

Develop high-quality visuals and interfaces that enhance the look, feel, and usability of our products.

Maintain and evolve Clair's design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and innovation across products.

Move fast and be flexible. At Clair, we are constantly taking in new information that contributes to the overall business objectives. You should be comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities shift.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in product design, UX / UI design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise and highlighting your design process

At least 1 year of experience acting as a Senior Product Designer

Mastery of Figma, including auto-layouts and component-based designs

Experience in leading user research initiatives, and applying qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions

Exceptional ability to tackle complex design challenges with creativity and sound judgment

Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, managing high-impact projects effectively

Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

Nice to have

Skilled in illustration and motion graphics, particularly with After Effects and Lottie.

Familiarity with FinTech products, services, or regulatory environments.

Additional Details

Location : This is a hybrid position based out of New York City, you will be expected to come into the office three days a week.

Compensation :

The annual base salary for this role is $155,200.00. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, skills and experience. Base pay is only one part of Clair's competitive total compensation package which includes benefits, perks and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
