Interested?Here's what you'd do : -Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.

• Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as the nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
• Consults rate schedule for specific rates depending on the method of shipment or distance shipped. -Assesses the most economical and efficient common or contract carrier, to transport shipments.
• Calculates and records storage, redelivery, and other applicable charges. -May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at the destination.
• Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments. -Receives incoming materials, and unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications. -Maintains records of received goods, and processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
• Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. -Developing support for individual contributors.
• Works under general supervision.-Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.-Less detailed instructions are provided and moderate peer review is required.
• Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
• Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures.-Follows established processes to complete tasks. -Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
• Works to achieve operational targets within the job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.

Required Skills / Qualifications : -High School Diploma or GED-Minimum of 4 years experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory on manufacturing linesPreferred Skills / Qualifications : -Associates Degree-Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
