Job Description

This position will inspect, repair, and care for Visa's aircraft to ensure it is airworthy, dispatchable, and ready to support business requirements while improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of the Aviation team.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will report to the Aircraft Program Manager.

Essential Functions :

• Complete required maintenance and lead complex inspection activities while maximizing aircraft availability with the highest safety standards.
• Handles quality assurance on aircraft maintenance paperwork and aircraft logbook entries including CAMP / CMP forms, aircraft discrepancy logs, MEL logs, service logs and off-site maintenance work records and / or log entries.
• Updates the maintenance status records in the Flight Maintenance Log Binder.
• Troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve the source of reported malfunctions.
• Follow manufacturer's, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and other regulatory requirements.
• Secure the necessary resources to complete assigned activities.
• Stay informed and aware of business aircraft technology advances and industry best practices.
• Removes unsafe and non-compliant aircraft from service and report to the Director of Maintenance or Aircraft Program Manager.
• Assists with all aspects of aircraft arrivals and departures, including assisting the flight and cabin crew members, aircraft towing, wing walking, greeting or escorting passengers and baggage handling.
• Assist with administrative tasks in support of the maintenance function.
• Ensures calibration of tools and test equipment.
• Ensures that products, parts, supplies, and consumables meet the specifications and requirements set forth by the manufacturer and that necessary amounts of these items are maintained.
• Monitors expiration dates for aircraft parts, aircraft / hangar consumable supplies, first aid kits, automatic external defibrillators, and other applicable survival / emergency equipment
• Ability to adjust to a flexible duty schedule and adaptable to changes in schedule requirements and duty responsibilities including weekends and holidays.
• Accompany aircraft to outside repair facilities to lead all aspects of maintenance when required.
• Assumes any duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Aircraft Program Manager.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Incumbent must make themselves available to support a corporate worldwide flight schedule.

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Work performed in a maintenance facility / hangar / outside on a ramp.

Work can include being in a confined space or on ladders or in elevated areas, such as on a high lift to reach a wing or engine.

Working in areas with noise, corrosion, hot and cold surface hazards.

Standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, twisting, grasping sometimes repeated movements with fingers, hands, wrists.

Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Safe operations of aircraft tugs, carts, and lifts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.

5 years aviation experience.

Continuing education in aviation maintenance through accredited schools or manufacturer's training programs preferred.

Demonstrated effective communications to include written and verbal.

Demonstrated effective planning and organization skills.

Well-developed troubleshooting skills and capability of solving complex technical issues with limited supervision required.

Collaborate and function effectively in a team environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Ability to drive continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and help promote a professional organization.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

7 or more years aviation experience.

Broad knowledge and experience with the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category, and type that Visa operates.

Travel Requirements : This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 98,000.00 to 125,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
