Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager has full administrative and managerial responsibility for all associate matters for a manufacturing plant in Rockford.
The HR Manager has sole responsibility for all HR functions as outlined below and a goal for the development of a company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
The successful candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop recruitment strategies conduct recruitment and onboarding for all except and non-exempt personnel.
- Manage timecards for hourly associates hourly and information within the HRIS system.
- Perform benefit administration and assist with third-party vendors regarding benefit issues.
- Maintain and update personnel policies, training programs, employee handbook, organization charts and employee directory.
- Guide and assist management in employment matters related to coaching, disciplining and documenting corrective action.
- Retain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and orders related to employment, benefits, and health and safety.
- Confidentially oversee and update employee files and reports; inclusive of evaluations resulting in wage progressions
- Monitor attendance, sick leave, and Supervisor reports regarding poor work performance.
- Participate in daily and weekly Company meetings to report HR metrics.
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
- BS degree in Human Resources, or relevant field, or SHRM Certification.
- Candidates with related work-history will still be considered
- 5 years+ experience in Human Resources.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant
- Knowledge of utilizing HR systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Background in recruitment.
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees.
- Strong administration, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of HRIS software system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Must be professional and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Pay : $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
